Abdel was born and raised on his father's large olive farm in Tunisia. Hence his interest in pure olive oil. Olive oil in Tunisia is used not only for cooking purposes but also for medical purposes.
He found that when he moved to Canada, high-quality olive oil was not readily available to the consumer and that the benefits of this product were not well known.
Abdel Jedidi formed the Tucan Olive Oil Company on March 3rd, 2010. The motivation behind his business is to share with Canadians premium quality olive oil from his native land of Tunisia.

Planted by loving hands centuries ago and carefully selected during November and December, when olives hit their optimum degree of ripeness. To obtain healthy olives and ensure olive tree production, hand harvesting is necessary.
